Scott Sady is a freelance photographer based in the Reno – Lake Tahoe area. He has been a professional photographer for over 30 years. Scott is a graduate of the San Jose State Photojournalism program where he was selected as the California College Photographer of the Year in 1992. After graduation, Scott joined the Associated Press, where he was stationed in Mexico and Central America for several years. Upon returning to the US, Scott worked as the Assistant Director of Photography at the Reno Gazette-Journal newspaper.
Scott headed up the Alpine event photography for USA Today for both the 2002 and 2006 winter Olympics. Scott has won numerous NPPA and Nevada Press Association awards during jounalism career. Scott made the leap to a freelance career in 2006 and has not looked back since. Scott specializes in large format, fine art landscape photography, outdoor, adventure and travel photography and has a large, searchable stock image collection on his website. Scott is available for assignment.
Scott is married to his lovely wife of 15 years Monique, and helps her in her Lake Tahoe wedding photography business during the summers. Scott is an avid outdoorsman and is an expert skier and kayaker. Scott is fluent in Spanish and German.
